About this event

Chicago Immigrant Stories (CIS) is a 4-part concert series where jazz, classical, and ethnic folk music intersect in new unexpected ways to share ideas on what it means to be American. Since the series began in 2017, CIS has engaged over 10,000 audience members on Chicago’s vibrant immigrant communities.

CIS IV will explore “the stories that bind us” in a performance that highlights the unique characteristics of Chicago’s Brazilian, Japanese, and Ukrainian communities, and brings our cultures together on stage to create an experience that is both wholly ‘American’ and uniquely ‘Chicago’.
