Da Wei Wang / Tatsu Aoki / Ben Karas play at Chicago Public Library Little Village Branch for their Crafts & Concerts series.
From the organizers:
A guitar, Japanese shamisen, and drums trio combining traditional Japanese folk melodies with avant-garde guitar textures. Da Wei is well known for being a member of the legendary Chicago band ONO. Ben currently drums for ONO and is a DIY scene veteran known for his various past projects such as Glad Rags, Sex No Babies, and Evasive Backflip. Tatsu Aoki has a long list of musical accomplishments including being the founder of the Chicago Asian American Jazz Festival and is a filmmaker.
