About this event

Tsukasa Taiko plays for Chicago Drum Festival at Argyle Night Market organized by the Korean Performing Arts Institute of Chicago.

Exact time TBA

From the organizers: The Chicago Drum Festival is an annual celebration of global drumming traditions, featuring high-caliber, Chicago-based ensembles. Over the years, the festival — and its predecessor, Project UL-SSI-GU — has been presented at some of the city’s most iconic venues, including Wrigley Square in Millennium Park, Ganz Hall at Roosevelt University, and Oakton Park.

Launched in 2013 by Uptown United, the Argyle Night Market is a beloved summer tradition that blends food from local Argyle restaurants with live cultural and musical performances every Thursday evening. This vibrant outdoor event draws an average of 5,000 visitors each week and continues to grow in popularity. Part market, part street festival, it’s held on Argyle Street — Chicago’s first shared street — and is known for its welcoming and festive atmosphere.

In addition to the mouthwatering Asian street food, the highlight for many guests is the live music and cultural performances. Thanks to partnerships with local arts organizations, we’re able to bring an exciting variety of music, dance, and other art forms to the heart of Uptown. As a free event, our mission is to ensure everyone feels included and inspired.
