About this event
For the third event of the series, Kishino Takagishi will be screening her short film The Edge of a Hole (2022) followed by a lecture and conversation on her visual art practice under 3 principles; under the condition of light, disorientation, and siblinghood.
Kishino Takagishi (b. 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Chicago, IL. She received her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020 where she studied experimental film, video, and installation. Since graduating her practice has expanded to other mediums such as drawing, painting, and sound. She has been a visiting artist at both Concordia University (Montreal) and SAIC. Additionally, her work has been exhibited at the Onion City Film Festival, Zhou B Arts Center, and the Experimental Sound Studio (Chicago). ---
The first season of the AIRMW Artist Presentation Series highlights our in-house and close collaborative artists. Each person will be presenting their artistic practices with a performative element followed by a discussion moderated by AIRMW Executive and Artistic Director, Tatsu Aoki. Curated & organized by Kioto Aoki.
